The Henschel Hs 123 was a dive bomber and close-support attack aircraft flown by the Luftwaffe during the Spanish Civil War and most of World War II. It was a robust and durable aircraft especially in severe conditions. Production ended in 1940, but it continued to see front-line service until 1944 and was only withdrawn due to a lack of serviceable airframes and spare parts.
