The General Dynamics F-16 Falcon is an air superiority day fighter, it evolved into a successful all-weather multirole aircraft. Over 4,600 aircraft have been built since production was approved in 1976. The F-16C entered production in 1984 and had improved cockpit avionics and radar which added all-weather capability with beyond-visual-range, AIM-7 and AIM-120 air-air missiles.
